A pre-action sprinkler system is installed together with smoke and heat sensors. As soon as these sensors detect a fire, the pipes of the pre-action sprinkler system fill with extinguishing water. The water remains in the pipes until the sprinkler comes into action when a certain temperature is reached. Only then will the fire extinguishing water be released. This ingenious system ensures that accidental activation of the sprinklers is avoided.
