Dry sprinkler system

A dry sprinkler system is an automatic fire suppression system connected to air-filled pipes. Because the pipes are filled with air instead of water, this application is extremely suitable for rooms where the temperature can drop below freezing. The sprinkler heads are available in different types and sizes, so that a dry sprinkler system can be tailored to your application.

Operation of a dry sprinkler system

An independent air compressor keeps the dry portion of the sprinkler system under compressed air pressure. In the event of fire, the sprinkler opens as soon as it reaches the calibrated operating temperature, allowing the compressed air to escape. Immediately afterwards, the dry control post opens, allowing fire extinguishing water to be pumped into the pipe network and allowed to pass through according to a specific spray pattern.
